Who We Are
The Senior Pharmacy Program (SPP) operates remotely due to community health issues but will use voucher sites located in Carteret, Craven, Jones, Onslow and Pamlico Counties for value added services in the near future. All sites will be staffed by trained volunteers dedicated to the services of this program. Through SPP assistance (provided in the form of vouchers), Catholic Charities is able to assist in the purchase of prescription medications and medical supplies for over 75 seniors. Additionally, health education materials are distributed on a monthly basis to help increase awareness of clients' health issues and address their concerns. We also provide nutritional supplement drinks and incontinence wear as available. Information and referral to community resources relevant to seniors' issues is a service as well.
What We Do
The Senior Pharmacy Program (SPP) of Catholic Charities provides assistance to eligible senior adults, ages 60 and over, for prescription costs as well as medical supplies arising from chronic illnesses.
