Who We Are

VISION: A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

MISSION STATEMENT: Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Habitat for Humanity of Craven County works in partnership with families, volunteers, donors, and the community to build, rehabilitate and repair homes. We work to transform neighborhoods through revitalization, education, partnerships, and long term relationships with families and the community. Since 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Craven County has been helping families achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better life for themselves and their families. Habitat for Humanity of Craven County has impacted the lives of 63 families locally, and 41 families internationally.

Our ReStore accepts donations of gently used furniture, appliances, household items and other merchandise for resale to the public at deep discounted prices to support our operations and home building projects.

What We Do

Habitat for Humanity of Craven County is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity of Craven County is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, affordable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
