Our volunteers are a valuable and integral part of the success of our organization and we hope that you find volunteering with us to be a rewarding opportunity. The required documents in order to complete the volunteer application process are as follows:

If you prefer to download the application, complete the required documents above by selecting -Volunteer Application and attach the $10 donation and return to your local Boys and Girls Club or mail to the attention of Volunteer Coordinator at BGCCC - PO Box 1514 - Morehead City, NC 28557. When the Background Check is complete and acceptable, you will be contacted to arrange a start date. You will be contacted within 7-10 days upon submission of required volunteer documents and donation.
Short-Term Community Service Assistants
Volunteers interested in working for designated length of time or on a set schedule may volunteer for specific hours as required by a school, university, or other organization.
Corporate Volunteers
Corporate volunteers interested in one-time impact projects such as summer camp clean-up work days, collection drives, wall painting or other tasks may contact us for more specific opportunities.
Potential Activities
- Mentoring- Participate in a youth's life and show that they care. They can give the youth a different perspective of the world and help create opportunities to enable the youth to make better life choices.
- Tutoring & Homework Help- Help students improve their grade by becoming a tutor! Volunteers generally help in this area during our Power Hour Time.
- Social Recreation Area Volunteer- Answer phones, greet parents, monitor members and activities within the program area, and participate and initiate games with members.
- Art Program Volunteer- Assist programming staff with art projects, give positive reinforcement while members work on projects, and lead activities when needed.
- Technology Lab Volunteer- Create creative programs for members using Microsoft word, excel, and other available tools, help member use internet safety, and monitor computer usage.
- Volunteer Sports Coach/Official- Teach basic rules of the game to youth members, encourage members to participate and excel at the sport, and hold practices and attend games.
- Administrative Volunteer- Answer phone, greet members, and other general office duties.
