Craven Literacy Council has a waiting list of students needing tutors, and we welcome volunteers interested in becoming tutors. Our 15-hour workshop trains volunteer tutors to work with adults who need help with basic literacy skills, or who want to learn to speak and understand English. The workshop will provide participants with teaching techniques and materials that will prepare them to tutor with the council.
